  Zone present along the lateral dorsoventral boundary that sits just underneath the animal, in contact with substrates. It is comprised of bunches of adhesion gland cells whose terminal pores form pore rosettes through the dorsal ventral boundary epidermis.This region of is devoid of rhabdites.
